Demo / concept — not a real business. This page records the brief, the audience and the goals of the Otlo Kitchen sample site.

Brief

Design a restaurant site that leads with food: dark, warm and photograph-led. Guests should read the menu in English, Hindi or Gujarati, open it from a table QR, and send an order on WhatsApp.

Audience

Families and evening diners browsing on a phone, including people who prefer to read a menu in Hindi or Gujarati.

Moodboard

Wireframe

Hero, a short introduction, a scroll-driven menu with a sticky course rail, a QR block, an evening verandah, a labelled Maps mock-up, then visit details and a note.

Final

The homepage carries that path. Every page is marked as a demo, uses a fictional address, lists no phone number, and sends messages to Dhruvin.

Signature moment

As you scroll the menu, courses ease into view and a sliding pill on the course rail keeps pace. English is the default. A compact EN / HI / GU switch changes the customer-facing copy without loading Hindi or Gujarati fonts on the first English paint. A QR code opens this menu on its own page, and ordering always starts on WhatsApp.

The homepage is written as if the kitchen were real. On a phone the header Order button is hidden so the first screen has a single WhatsApp action; language toggles keep the menu readable in English, Hindi or Gujarati.

Goals

Let food lead; offer Hindi and Gujarati without slowing the English first paint; and make the path from menu to message obvious. These are design aims, not results from a real kitchen.
